There has been a great deal of media attention about the danger of Chinese toys that contain high level of lead paint, as well as Chinese cottons that have been impregnated with formaldehyde to make them permanent-press.  Of course, these imports are dangerous, and we must protect our children.  But what about all the home-grown poisons that Western governments and the media have chosen to ignore?
