Q1: May I make an appointment with Elaine?
A: Elaine regrets that, because she receives thousands of requests each month, she is not able to take calls, answer letters or emails and is not available for consultations.

For ethical reasons, we cannot give health advice by telephone, email, fax or post. Natural practitioners are listed, by area, on www.acnem.org. Some know what they are doing, but many are heavily influenced by multinational propaganda, so caution is advised.

Highly recommended by Hippocrates Health Centre is Naturopath Sarah Franklin.  Sarah does phone and email consultations. Contact her on 0421 338 022 or email [email protected]. Her website is www.balancedhealth.com.au . The number provided on this website is for PRODUCT ORDERS ONLY. If your enquiry is of a business nature please email: [email protected].

Q2: Are you the Hippocrates Health Centre as well?
A: No. You may contact Hippocrates Health Centre on

Q4: Can I purchase Elaine’s book locally?
A: Yes and no. Unfortunately, due to the nature of Elaine’s book, it is not available through mainstream sources. But we do have wonderful people throughout the world who are Citizen Distributors. For a list, ‘Click Here’.

Q5: I have a medical condition. Is Maca safe for me to take?
A: Maca is not recommended for the following conditions:

  • Pregnancy
  • Breastfeeding women
  • Men with prostate conditions
  • Women with hormone-related cancers

We also recommend that you consult your health practitioner if you have bladder or liver disease or high blood pressure. The use of fertility drugs, black cohosh, dong quai, ginseng or licorice root along with Maca is not recommended.

For more details on Maca click here.

Q6: How does your Maca differ from those found in health stores?
A: Maca must be grown at extremely high altitudes in order to be effective, but many are grown at lower altitudes in order to save transport costs. These are inferior, and are usually pale in colour. Some Macas contain extenders to bulk it out, and even additives such as guarana, which contains caffeine. Some are in impure capsules, which are made of animal ears and hoofs.

This does not mean that all Macas have these additives , but it is difficult for the novice to tell by looking at them. We know our supplier, and have utmost confidence that our Maca is grown at 16,000 feet in the Andes, is handled properly, and is pure.

Q7: Is your Maca a little lumpy?
A: If so, be happy!  This means it’s the real deal and doesn’t have any additives to keep it soft and flowing. Some unscrupulous companies put aluminium and other chemicals in the Maca to keep it flowing smoothly.
You can easily remove the lumps by placing the Maca in your blender, then storing it in an airtight container.
Q8: Can you recommend a health professional in my area?
A: We are unable to recommend any health professionals, other than those listed in Elaine’s book. Natural practitioners are listed, by area, on www.acnem.org .

Some know what they are doing, but too many are influenced by multinational propaganda, so caution is advised. We can confidently recommend naturopath Sarah Franklin.

Sarah does phone and email consultations.
Contact her at 0421 338 022 or email [email protected]
Or visit her website www.balancedhealth.com.au

Q9: Can you help me with medical/health advice? I don’t know where to turn.
A: For ethical and legal reasons, we cannot give any kind of medical or health advice by telephone, email, fax or post.

Remember, once you have read Elaine’s book you are more aware than most of the world’s population. Using the information Elaine has provided, you will be in a position to form your own opinion about which path would be the best for you to take. We highly recommend you then check with a qualified health professional and if necessary seek a second or third opinion before commencing.

Q10: Where can I get Pregnenolone?
A: You must have a prescription from your doctor, then take it to a compounding chemist.
Q11: Do you sell Dr Peat’s Progesterone Oil (Progest-E Complex)?
A: We wish we could but the Australian Government only allows people to bring it in for personal use.

Please do not telephone us to order progesterone oil. We do not, and cannot, import this product. We recommend it because years of experience have shown us it is the best progesterone available. You must order it yourself from the USA, and all the details are in Take Control of Your Health and Escape The Sickness Industry 12th Edition.

Q12: Why is Armour Thyroid (porcine) superior to Synthroid?
A: The answer is in Chapter 1 of Elaine’s book. You can download this chapter free on the right hand side of this page.
Q13: Can I test my own thyroid? Yes. Are thyroid blood tests accurate?
A: No. Read the first chapter in my book to learn how to test yourself, simply and accurately. All you need is a thermometer. Free access is available to this chapter on the right hand side of this page.
Q14: I need help! My doctors won’t believe I have a thyroid problem. What can I do?
A: Every month we get hundreds of phone calls and emails from desperate people, mostly women, who are unable to get relief from the debilitating symptoms of hypothyroidism. This is a crime, as untreated hypothyroidism leads to severe health consequences, and relief is as simple as a tiny tablet – Armour Porcine Thyroid.

But Big Medicine is so indoctrinated by Big Pharma, that most doctors refuse to prescribe this safe, effective remedy. Instead, if they prescribe anything at all, it is a synthetic tablet that has been known for decades to cause osteoporosis, and doesn’t even improve thyroid function, long-term.

Does your doctor refuse to believe you when you tell him your hypothyroid symptoms? Does he treat you like an imbecile when you tell him your early morning underarm temperature is extremely low, and try to convince him that this is a sure indication of extremely low thyroid function? Does he rely instead upon the discredited TSH blood test, which has replaced the old-fashioned test described in my book? Has an endocrinologist brought you to tears with his uncaring, arrogant attitude? Are you at the end of your tether?

Help is at hand. If you cannot find a knowledgeable doctor, and if you are absolutely certain your thyroid is low, there are things you can do. First, go to my website homepage and scroll to the bottom. You will find a life-saving article there on iodine, (Lugol’s Solution) which is necessary for thyroid health. Lugol’s is becoming more and more difficult to find, due to the machinations of Big Pharma. They don’t like it because it is an inexpensive, effective remedy that cuts into their profits. We recommend you contact Newton’s Pharmacy in Sydney on (02) 9267-7889 or visit their website http://www.newtonspharmacy.com.au/ .

If your thyroid function is too far gone to come back with just Lugol’s, the next step is to get your own Armour Porcine Thyroid tablets. Here we need to make an end run around our often backward, uncaring medical system, and take matters into our own hands. Armour Thyroid is available, without a prescription, through www.internationalpharmacy.com.

Ray Peat, PhD, one of my favourite scientists, is respected worldwide as an expert on the thyroid gland. Unlike most of his colleagues, he is corporate-neutral, and unafraid to tell the truth about Big Medicine. His latest Newsletter just arrived, and it contains a brilliant article on thyroid health. It is essential reading for anyone who has problems with this pesky little gland. Please click here to read it, and if you are game, take it to your doctor and try to educate him/her.

One last thought – Dr Peat’s informative Newsletter can be ordered at [email protected]. His website is http://raypeat.com/articles.

Q15: Where can I purchase black salve?
A: The TGA prohibits the sale of Black Salve in Australia. Ingredients to make your own can be purchased here: https://plantessentials.com.au/collections/black-salve-australia
